Luc Schelstraete (Terneuzen, 1960) graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Brabant in Tilburg in 1985, and has been practicing law since 1986. After having worked as an attorney for over three years at a company law firm in Rotterdam, he started his own practice, Schelstraete C.S. Advocaten, in 1989. 

Luc Schelstraete is also the manager of the office, with which eight attorneys and paralegals, and three secretarial staff members are currently affiliated. In 1999, Luc Schelstraete moved his office from Kasteel de Strijdhoef in Udenhout to Tilburg, where the firm is now housed in one of the four modern office towers at Dr. Hub van Doorneweg 181. The office is located between other large and reputable business and banking service firms such as the accounting firm Price Waterhouse Coopers, Rabobank, ABP, etc. 

In his legal practice, Luc Schelstraete is primarily active in the fields of company law and equine law. 

Within the equine law practice, Luc Schelstraete provides services to Dutch yet often also foreign equine businesses, riders, horse owners and equine authorities.
